Nordic conference inspires attendees

Conference inspires delegates for tomorrow’s challenges

Now in its 8th year, this February saw another successful Nordic conference, hosted by Charlotte von Krogh and Ann Hovbratt.  Held on 7-8 February at Norefjell Ski & Spa, the two-day event combined engaging seminars with an opportunity to re-energize at one of the most beautiful facilities in the region.

The conference is an opportunity for the 80 participants, 25 insurance companies and Crawford employees, who attended the conference to discuss the newest observations and burning topics from our industry.  Subjects covered in the first day of seminars included: the newest approaches to personal injury claims and unlawful product liability.

After all the discussion there was a chance to gather socially and partake in some skiing, ice skating or climbing for those who fancied a challenge!  For those looking for a more relaxed pace, the spa facilities, indoor swimming pool and fitness centre allowed attendees to unwind in a sensational setting.

The highlight of the first day, came in the form of an enlightening presentation from Phil Price, IT & Business Services Director UK, on ‘The Future of Claims – A view from a technology perspective’.  This insightful presentation outlined the impact of technology on our everyday processes and how it is directly affecting our industry as a whole – providing a great deal of food for thought for the formal dinner event held on the Wednesday evening.

Day two provided a full morning of discussion on topics such as current business policy issues, social media and customer engagement.  Interspersed with another opportunity to experience the beauty and exhilaration of the fantastic resort and its facilities, this conference left all feeling relaxed, informed and inspired.
