Crawford & Company® has been recognised for its innovation in cyber claims management and its support for victims of flooding, receiving two industry awards in two weeks’ time.
Last night, Crawford & Company UK was awarded Claims Partner of the Year – Loss Adjusting at the Insurance Times Awards 2016 for responding to the devastating floods in Northern England during winter of 2015-2016.
The previous week, Crawford® received first place in the Adviser of the Year category at the Insurance Day London Market Awards 2016.
Described as providing a ‘simple and unique solution’ by judges, Crawford was awarded for developing an innovative, networked, cyber response solution. This Crawford program currently supports numerous global insurers by delivering a comprehensive cyber insurance solution to a worldwide problem.
Crawford UK & Ireland CEO Clive Nicholls attended both events and received the awards on behalf of the Company. “Claims Partner of the Year recognises what Crawford’s ‘traditional’ business is all about—responding to property claims when bad weather wreaks havoc,” he said.
“Our response following the storms of 2015 showed we are able to perform head and shoulders above the pack. Disasters rarely happen during office hours, and the speed of response can be critical to a customer’s claim,” Clive said. “Our effective resource network and industry-leading services, such as Claims Alert, ensure total round-the-clock support for customers nationwide. This is a testament to everyone involved.”
Being named Adviser of the Year during the Insurance Day London Market Awards was a nod in the direction of Crawford’s future and the changing world of risk. “Our networked, cyber response solution has been a collaborative effort with other service providers, and it is great that the service is up and running with a number of major insurers and corporates,” Clive said.
