In April, we participated in the Risk Management Society (RIMS) annual conference in Denver – the most prominent event in our industry and an unparalleled opportunity for thought leadership, learning and networking. This year, our theme was: “Think B.I.G.” (Bold. Innovative. Global). As a truly global Third-Party Administrator (TPA), we want to send the message that we are uniquely situated to deliver bold, innovative and global solutions.
To start the event off in a “B.I.G.” way, we held a large-scale reception the first evening of RIMS. With globally themed entertainment and dining as well as a spectacular view of the Rocky Mountains at sunset, we had a great time networking in an informal setting. We also had a 20 x 80 booth and created the Crawford café, where we demonstrated some of our featured solutions – such as RSG ESP, a revolutionary tool that includes robust business intelligence, predictive analytics and benchmarking capabilities to enable taking preemptive action and change outcomes.
In addition, we had two speakerships at the conference: “International Programs – Beyond the Hype” featuring Mike Reeves, executive vice president, Global Markets for Crawford & Company, and “Your Foreign Born Workers: Essential Advice on Work Safety and Health,” moderated by our own Chief Medical Officer Dr. Jacob Lazarovic, featuring journalist Peter Rousmaniere and our client from Bolthouse Farms.
We also launched Broadspire® as the first global TPA, offering central global account management and control coupled with deployment throughout a network of more than 700 offices in more than 70 countries, along with the capability of handling claims in more than 150 countries.
To cap off a truly fantastic conference, Broadspire was recognized as the Best of Show exhibitor (large company category) on the final day of RIMS! The RIMS organizers used various criteria including presentation of product, creative use of space and overall design and layout to determine the winner – these factors all serve to underscore the care and attention we put into presenting our solutions and services.
It was a very successful conference for us and it was great to spend time with other leaders in our industry in a beautiful city like Denver. I am already looking forward to crawfish and beignets at next year’s RIMS in New Orleans!
