On May 23, President and CEO Jeffrey Bowman continued Crawford & Company’s ongoing support of the Atlanta Chapter of the CPCU Society by presenting its President Sharon Ware, CPCU, with a $5,000 donation to the Chapter’s 2013 Charity Golf Tournament. This year’s charity recipient is The Society of St. Vincent de Paul. The Society of St. Vincent de Paul empowers people in Georgia to achieve self-sufficiency by offering financial, material, educational and spiritual support and by collaborating with others to develop and deliver programs and services to help those in need.

In addition to his support of the CPCU Society, Jeffrey has served as a member of The Institutes Board of Trustees since 2007. In 2012, The Institutes and the CPCU Society affiliated with the overarching goal of creating an even stronger CPCU Society to support the insurance industry.

Crawford supports its employees engaged in acquiring the CPCU® and other Institutes designations, as well as providing support for individual Crawford CPCUs, who volunteer their time and efforts to serve in their local chapters, on national committees or interest groups, or in Society Leadership roles and support for the CPCU Society’s “I-Days” throughout the country.

Each year the Atlanta Chapter selects a deserving charity to receive half of the funds raised by the Charity Tournament. The balance of the funds raised is used to support the Chapter’s educational programs, which include providing local instructor-led CPCU and other Institutes’ designation courses.
