Contractor Connection offers a network of more than 4,500 contractors in the United States and Canada who can help repair and restore insured property. After initially providing services to insurers and their policyholders, the network also provides a consumer program for home remodeling and improvement direct to consumers —if your home is damaged you can contact Contractor Connection to get a bid from a local contractor on the repair work.
Fifteen years ago Contractor Connection started its conference and expo to bring together its clients and contractor partners from across the U.S, and, later, from Canada. This year’s event, whose theme “The Next 15,” was designed to allow all Contractor Connection stakeholders to celebrate past successes while focusing on challenges and opportunities of the next 15 years. The meeting was held May 21-23 at the Henry B. Gonzalez Convention Center in San Antonio, Texas.
Approximately 2,800 contractors, insurance carrier representatives and service provider partners attended the recent Crawford Contractor Connection® Conference and expo, setting another attendance record for the popular invitation-only event. The meeting also hosted more than 150 exhibitors. During the three days of the Conference, industry trends, technology, benchmarking, expectations, goal setting, client presentations, top performance recognition, education and networking were all explored by attendees from the U.S. and Canada.
As the 15th annual Contractor Connection Conference was a celebration of reaching the milestone of a decade and a half of connecting with its thousands of partners, Contractor Connection CEO Larry Thomas wanted to begin the event in a dramatic fashion. He opened the General Session by repelling down from the convention hall rafters—along with U.S. Navy SEALs from the Afterburner team who would later serve as keynote presenters on the topic of “Flawless Execution”. In his opening remarks Thomas stated that the 15th conference anniversary deserved a “dynamic entry” that went beyond attendee entertainment and “this was meant to punctuate the messaging that resonated throughout the conference: fully embrace available opportunities, don’t be afraid of risk and focus on flawless execution—as great rewards come to those who embrace challenges.”
Thomas then talked about the history of the annual event. “This year we celebrate the 15-year anniversary of the Contractor Connection Conference and Expo. Over the years Contractor Connection has strived to continually lead the way in innovation, strategic solutions, business opportunities and peer-to-peer networking, while our annual conference has evolved into a premier industry event,” said Larry. “This year’s conference was not only a celebration of what has been, but what is still ahead; growth, higher standards, enhanced client partnerships, increased networking and raised value.”
Looking forward to the start of the next 15 years of the conference and expo, the 2014 conference will be held June 9 -13 in New Orleans at the Ernest N. Morial Convention Center and the Hilton New Orleans Riverside.
