Threet Memorial Scholarship Winner
Brooke Frailey (pictured) is this year’s scholarship recipient of the Greg Threet Memorial Scholarship at Morehead State University (MSU). Brooke, a rising junior at MSU, is the seventh recipient of the $2,500 annual award, and is majoring in accounting, with a minor in business management. Brooke appreciates the financial assistance and says, “It gives students like me ambition to work harder and know that it will pay off in the future.” The scholarship is awarded to a rising junior or senior in finance in MSU’s School of Business Administration.
The scholarship awards dinner will be held on Friday, May 3, at the university. Lisa Quisenberry, Crawford property general adjuster, in Lexington, KY, will represent Crawford at the event.
The Greg Threet Memorial Scholarship at Morehead State University was established to honor the memory of Greg Threet, who was a rising star and assistant branch manager in Crawford’s U.S. Property & Casualty office in Lexington, KY. Greg was a Morehead graduate, and in 2006 he was on his way to Atlanta for a Crawford leadership development conference when his plane crashed during takeoff, taking the lives of 49 of the 50 people aboard.
