Giving back to the communities in which we operate is a strong part of Crawford & Company’s culture; an example of this is our Global Day of Service focused on hands-on community service in our offices around the world. The program has gained tremendous momentum globally and by all accounts has been successful for a variety of reasons.
Our employees are encouraged and supported to do their part to make the world a better place at every opportunity that arises. We are preparing to launch the Crawford Employee Giving Program that will allow employees to make a bigger impact on key causes that are important to each of us. The Employee Giving Program offers flexibility and choice of execution for our employees in terms of their support, and an improved focus to our non-profit partners.
The program gives Crawford & Company U.S. employees the opportunity to contribute through payroll deduction to the four U.S. non-profit organizations they selected via a survey conducted in 2012. The four organizations that received the most employee votes for support were:
- American Cancer Society
- American Heart Association (AHA)
- American Red Cross
- American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (ASPCA)
We will be regularly promoting these organizations and the work they do throughout this year to our employees as we encourage them to voluntarily contribute to or support one or more of these organizations in some way. Together, we can all make a difference in the communities in which we operate.
