Crawford Helps at the Holidays
In addition to our annual Global Day of Service, Crawford & Company employees take on a variety of charity projects during the holidays.
One such effort is the Salvation Army Angel Tree program. Coordinator Audrey Jones says, “It is the ninth year the Atlanta Service Center has participated. I receive a list of Angels from the Salvation Army, including each child’s age, sex, clothing sizes, and wish list for gifts.”
Participants, who include both Atlanta Service Center and Home Office employees, select an Angel, for whom they provide a complete outfit and one or two gifts. The Salvation Army picks up for distribution to the kids before Christmas. Audrey says, “We have adopted 100+ each year, and the Salvation Army provides for more than 2,500.”
The Brookfield, Wisconsin office of Crawford & Company also gives to those in need. This year, office coordinator Debby Venske sent out the call for the staff of 15 to sponsor a family through the local Christmas Clearing House. The group is gathering clothing, toys, and food for a family of three that includes a special-needs son.
These are just a few of the many examples of Crawford teams around the world helping others at this time of year.
